The Board meets on the first and third Monday of each month. Meetings begin at 1:00 p.m. and are held in the department conference room at 65 Lafayette Ave, Littleton. Board meetings are open to the public and time is allotted for public comments at each meeting.

The regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners (BOC) meeting began at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in the Littleton Water and Light Department (LWL) conference room. Present were Commissioner Ralph Ross, Commissioner Eddy Moore, Commissioner Perry Goodell and, Financial Services Director Cheryl Wilkins, Administrative Assistant Sharon Hampson. Darin Wipperman with The Littleton Courier was present and asked no questions.
MINUTES REVIEW:
The minutes of May 7, 2012 regularly scheduled Commissioners meeting were reviewed. Commissioner Goodell made a motion to accept the minutes as presented, seconded by Commissioner Moore.
The vote was in favor 3-0-0.
CUSTOMER CONCERNS:
Mrs. Wilkins informed the BOC that the office is now in the disconnect season. A commercial account customer was disconnected for nonpayment last Tuesday with a line truck. The customer has not contacted the office and usage is lower than normal.
FINANCIAL DIRECTORS REPORT:
Mrs. Wilkins has not received all power bills for April so could not provide financial statements for April at this time.
Mrs. Wilkins explained that she received a call from Bruce Hadlock regarding the funding of the new reservoir. He indicated that the Department cannot co-mingle funds between the electric department and the water department due to rules that have existed from years ago. He stated that LWL needs to do some research. Commissioner Moore feels LWL should look into it, however, he thinks Mr. Hadlock is talking about the town. Commissioner Ross stated it was never a formal policy perhaps more of a guideline LWL established so that the expenses were split. Commissioner Ross stated the water department is borrowing the money. Commissioner Moore has spoken with Mr. Hadlock and has tried to explain this to him. Commissioner Ross stated LWL will research it.
GENERAL BUSINESS:
Commissioner Ross asked what was happening on Gary’s Drive with the padmount transformer. The Operations Manager and the Superintendent were not present and no one else could answer the question.
Commissioner Ross asked about the progress on the LWL sign for the building.
Mrs. Wilkins believes the final design was approved and submitted to Littleton Millwork.
Commissioner Goodell inquired as to what the status is with the State of NH lights at the intersections. Commissioner Moore stated LWL is still waiting for a written response from the Town Manager.
Commissioner Ross asked when Tom would be back. Mrs. Wilkins stated he returns on Tuesday, May 29th. Commissioner Ross stated LWL is tentatively anticipating a rate adjustment July 1st. Mrs. Wilkins believes the rate change analysis is complete.
Commissioner Ross asked where LWL stands with the power supply procurement with La Capra. Mrs. Wilkins stated that La Capra is in the process of pre-qualifying several new bidders.
Commissioner Moore wanted to know if the problem has been fixed where there was half power in certain sections of the town last year. Commissioner Moore has been contacted by concerned citizens where having half power has caused damaged to equipment. Commissioner Moore will bring this up again at the next meeting.
