The Board meets on the first and third Monday of each month. Meetings begin at 1:00 p.m. and are held in the department conference room at 65 Lafayette Ave, Littleton. Board meetings are open to the public and time is allotted for public comments at each meeting.

The regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners (BOC) meeting began at 1:00 p.m. on Monday June 21, 2010 in the Littleton Water and Light Department (LWL) conference room. Present were Commissioner Eddy Moore, Commissioner Perry Goodell and Commissioner Ralph Ross, Financial Services Director Cheryl Wilkins, and Superintendent Thomas Considine.
MINUTES REVIEW:
The minutes of June 7, 2010 regularly scheduled Commissioners meeting were reviewed. Commissioner Ross made a motion to accept the minutes as presented, seconded by Commissioner Goodell.
The vote was in favor 3-0-0.
FINANCIAL DIRECTORS REPORT:
The LWL web payment portal was launched publicly late last week. There is a link on our web site that directs customers of our payment options. Several customers paid their LWL invoice over the internet.
SUPERINTENDENT/ MANAGERS REPORT:
1. LWL personnel installed an 8” gate valve on either side of the culvert to isolate the water main on Highland Avenue adjacent to Von’s Auto. Culvert replacement activities are schedule for later in the summer.
2. A representative from UDSA Rural Development will be visiting the LWL this week to review the grant eligibility application for the Oak Hill Reservoir replacement.
3. LWL personnel responded to a significant water leak on Meadow Street near Staples this morning. The repairs were completed and the line is being recharged at the time of this meeting.
4. The power grid appears to have had a momentary glitch as the entire LWL power system blinked early Sunday morning around 1:30 a.m. No substantial outages were reported that resulted from the glitch.
OLD BUSINESS:
Commissioner Moore stated that the Beal House will be going to court over their new parking area as it had major impact on their neighbor’s water and sewer lines that are slightly below the current parking area surface.
OTHER BUSINESS:
LWL received a letter from the Town of Littleton Select Board in regard to the Running Water Program. Several of the residents have filed for sewer use abatement for water used during this program. The select board has asked for detail for each of the customers on the program.
The BOC stated that they want to review the detail prior to sending to the town.

Commissioner Goodell made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by
Commissioner Ross.
The vote was in favor 3-0-0.
