The Board meets on the first and third Monday of each month. Meetings begin at 1:00 p.m. and are held in the department conference room at 65 Lafayette Ave, Littleton. Board meetings are open to the public and time is allotted for public comments at each meeting.

The regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners (BOC) meeting began at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019 in the Littleton Water and Light (LWL) conference room. Present were Commissioner Peter Cooper, Commissioner Ralph Ross, Financial Director Cheryl Wilkins, and Superintendent Thomas Considine.
MINUTES REVIEW:
The minutes of the July 1, 2019 regularly scheduled Commissioners meeting were reviewed. Commissioner Ross made a motion to accept the minutes as presented, seconded by Commissioner Cooper.
The vote was in favor of the motion 2-0-0.
APPOINTMENTS:
Mr. Samual Greenlaw briefed the BOC in regard to a right of way encroachment by the public way on this 84 Crane Street property. The property originally belonged to John Maciver and the Mr. Greenlaw claims that a section of Crane Street and the water main are on this property without an easement. He has made the Littleton DPW aware and would like the issue resolved as he is planning to sell the property.
The BOC thanked Mr. Greenlaw for bringing this matter to their attention.
FINANCIAL DIRECTORS REPORT:
1. Mrs. Wilkins reviewed the highlights of the financial statements for the month ended May 2019 with the Commissioners. Several variances as compared to budget were discussed and explained by Mrs. Wilkins.
2. Commissioner Cooper stated that he has had the opportunity to review the independent ant auditors report for the year ended 2018 and made a motion to accept the report as presented. Seconded by Commissioner Ross.
Vote was in favor 3-0-0 (Note: Commissioner Sweet voted in the affirmative, refer to the approved July 1, 2019 regular BOC meeting)
SUPERINTENDENT/ GENERAL MANAGERS REPORT:
1. LWL water personnel have found and repairs have been made to several water leaks that have amounted to about 62 GPM or about 2.7 MGals per month. The largest leak was found on a water service line on Carleton Street that measured about 20 GPM. Work is ongoing as LWL personal work through the remainder of the suspected leak found during the recently completed survey.
2. The work is progressing with regard to upgrading the equipment at the Burndy Substation. The substation is expected to be placed back in-service the week of July 22nd once all the equipment is in place and tested.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the board Commissioner Ross made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Commissioner Cooper.
The vote was in favor of the motion 2-0-0.
