The Board meets on the first and third Monday of each month. Meetings begin at 1:00 p.m. and are held in the department conference room at 65 Lafayette Ave, Littleton. Board meetings are open to the public and time is allotted for public comments at each meeting.

The regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners (BOC) meeting began at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017 in the Littleton Water and Light (LWL) conference room. Present were Commissioner Eddy Moore, Commissioner Perry Goodell, Commissioner Ralph Ross, Financial Director Cheryl Wilkins, Administrative Assistant Sharon Hampson and Superintendent Thomas Considine.
MINUTES REVIEW:
The minutes of the April 17, 2017 regularly scheduled Commissioners meeting were reviewed. Commissioner Goodell made a motion to accept the minutes as presented, seconded by Commissioner Ross.
The vote was in favor of the motion 3-0-0.
CUSTOMER & PUBLIC CONCERNS:
Mr. Considine stated as of today there are eight customers that are disconnected for non-payment.
FINANCIAL DIRECTORS REPORT:
Mrs. Wilkins discussed the 2016 audited financial report with the BOC that was received just prior to the meeting.
Commissioner Ross made a motion to accept the financial statements and the Independent Auditor’s report for the year ended 2016, seconded by Commissioner Goodell.
The vote was in favor 3-0-0.
SUPERINTENDENT/ GENERAL MANAGERS REPORT:
1. Mr. Donald Butson representing the Littleton Memorial Day Parade Committee asked if LWL would be willing to provide a truck for the parade that is scheduled for Monday, May 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The route of march is from the fire department to the veteran’s memorial bridge on Cottage Street. Usually an employee volunteers to drive a line truck in the parade. The BOC took no exception to LWL’s participation in this event.
2. Franconia’s day care requested a line truck for their “Touch a Truck” program before the end of their school year. The event will be on a Saturday and a volunteer has already come forward. The BOC took no exception to LWL’s participation in the event.
3. Several LWL employees worked this past Saturday morning (April 29, 2017) to change out a transformer at the Littleton Coin Company (LCC). The original transformer failed in February and LWL has worked to replace the existing pad mount since that time.
4. The new bucket truck ordered in January 2016 has finally arrived. LWL accepted delivery on Friday, April 28, 2017. An in-service inspection for employees that work with the new vehicle is scheduled for Friday of this week.
5. The public hearing for the River District revitalization project will be held this Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Littleton Opera House. This is a joint meeting between the Littleton Select Board and River District Commission. The preliminary design plans will be reviewed at this time and abutters will have the opportunity to discuss project details with town officials.
GENERAL/ OTHER BUSINESS:
1. BOC reviewed and discussed a questionnaire that Vachon Clukay and Company requested be filled in as part of the year end auditing process with regard to governance. The questions were specific and relative to fraud (internal and external) and risk mitigation strategies employed by LWL. Following the discussion Commissioner Goodell, board secretary, signed the document on behalf of the LWL.

Commissioner Goodell.
The vote was in favor of the motion 3-0-0.
